WHAT IS SACS OFFSHORE STRUCTURE?
SACS Offshore Structure Advanced is offshore structural analysis software that helps you optimize design to ensure compliance, understand behavior, and accurately predict performance of all types of offshore structures.
SACS is an integrated finite element structural analysis package for the design of offshore structures, such as oil and gas platforms, wind farms, topsides of FPSOs, and floating platforms. Offshore engineers around the world have used SACS for nearly 40 years, and many energy companies specify their engineering firms to use SACS software across the lifecycle of offshore platforms. Because every project has different needs, there are three flexible SACS options: SACS Offshore Structure Ultimate for comprehensive capabilities required for typical offshore jackets, wharfs, and dolphin structures; SACS Offshore Structure Advanced for static topside and deck analysis; and SACS Offshore Structure for static structural analysis.
SACS Offshore Structure contains capabilities required for static structural analysis.
It includes:
– The interactive graphics modeler with advanced 3D capabilities
– SACS IV solver and interactive graphics 3D post-processor
– Combine

Analyze Offshore Structures
Perform thorough analyses encompassing complete nonlinear, dynamic, and impact effects to accurately forecast the behavior of your platform or topside structure across various conditions. Incorporate advanced modeling techniques to simulate pile-soil interactions and apply a diverse range of loads such as wind, wave, seismic, ship impact, dropped object, and blast loads. By considering these comprehensive factors, engineers can gain invaluable insights into the structural response and ensure robust design solutions that are resilient to a multitude of potential scenarios.
Automate Your Workflows
Simplify the management of multiple analyses with customizable templates embedded within a unified structural model. Seamlessly transfer data between analysis steps using industry-standard methodologies, enhancing efficiency and ensuring consistency throughout the design process. Streamline workflows with automated processes tailored to handle large and complex models, empowering your team to delve into a wider array of design options with ease.
Ensure Code Compliance
Ensure compliance with offshore international codes, including API, AISC, EC, ISO, DNV, and Norsok, through built-in checking functionalities. The software facilitates filtering for critical conditions and generates comprehensive compliance documentation, offering assurance that your designs meet regulatory standards and industry requirements.

The SACS and AutoPIPE® interface integrates piping design, pipe stress, and structural analysis. It allows users to automatically transfer pipe support loads onto the structural model for analysis, and the structural model back to the piping model for visualization, engineering coordination, and combined stiffness model for accurate pipe support loads. Workflows to add pipe loads to offshore structures removes the requirement for manual data entry. The interface provides realistically engineered designs and avoids the manual transfer of support loads between the piping and structural models.
SACS structural models can be imported into MOSES™ for offshore installation analysis. Generating SACS TOW files from MOSES allows automatic generation of inertial based acceleration loading and RAOs. Enhancing collaboration across structural and naval architectural teams improves efficiency and reduces rework and project delays. For an improved 3D hydrodynamic response, users can run a MOSES launch analysis directly from SACS Executive using SACS input for a launch analysis.
PLAXIS® Monopile Designer supports the generation of SACS pile input files including additional stiffness curves for large diameter monopile foundations according to the PISA method. SACS and PLAXIS also provide a suction bucket analysis interface that enables the creation of nonlinear or linearized integrated structure and suction bucket foundation models that can be utilized in all SACS analysis and design workflows.
